Portions provides curated recipes and product suggestions for home cooking. All recipes are gathered and curated from publicly available sources, such as social media platforms, blogs, and food publications. Product details, including brand names, pricing, and availability, are collected from third-party online retailers and local physical stores. We do not sell products directly or guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party content.
2.1. No Sales or E-Commerce Services
Portions does not sell any of the products listed on the website. Any bag, cart, or checkout features within the platform are provided solely for the purpose of helping users generate a personal shopping list. No purchases, payment processing, or order fulfillment take place on Portions, and all product information links to third-party retailers or stores.
3. Intellectual Property
We do not claim ownership over the recipes or product content sourced from third-party publishers. We curate and credit where possible, under fair use principles. If you believe any content on our site infringes on your intellectual property rights, please contact us.
Portions branding, original content, and site design remain our intellectual property.
4. No Endorsement or Guarantee
Product listings and recipe content are provided for informational purposes only. Inclusion of a product or brand does not constitute an endorsement. We do not guarantee product availability, pricing accuracy, or content originality from third-party sources.
5. Accounts and Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
6. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services such as Supabase (for authentication), Google Cloud, Sanity, Vercel, Google Analytics, and Algolia. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
7. User Data and Privacy
We collect user data, including email addresses and login information, via Supabase and its Google Login integration. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details on how we handle your data.
8. Future Subscriptions
We may introduce paid subscription services in the future. When we do, additional terms and billing policies will apply.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use Portions for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- Scrape, mine, or otherwise collect user data without consent.
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your affiliation.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at our discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Portions is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of our content or services.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
